The Olive Mill nestles in the glorious Sierra de Aracena Natural Park in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Although only an hour from Seville you will be in a different world where the pace is slow and food local. Your nearest town is the achingly pretty Higuera de la Sierra with its whitewashed houses and pretty Church. Aracena with a handsome church and famous grottos is only 20 minutes away and then it back to the peace and solitude that the Olive Mill offers.

There are bars and restaurants in Higuera de la Sierra which is less than 10 minutes’ drive. Enjoy a coffee in the main square with the locals. During your stay with us, Simone and Juan will drive you into town in their exquisite antique horse and carriage – dream of days gone by and enjoy a glass of delicious local wine.

Although Higuera de la Sierra has a mini market to stock up with essentials, nearby Aracena offers artisan shops and delis - pop into Panadería Confitería Gran Vía for wonderful breads and pastries that are baked every morning.  Buy some of the pretty handmade pottery or purchase a wicker donkey head to take home with you! Confiteria Rufino Patisserie has provided the town with their traditional cakes and delicious artisan chocolates since 1875!

The Three Kings procession of Higuera de la Sierra has been travelling its streets on the evening of the 5th January since 1918, traditionally depicting scenes from the Nativity story (the visit of the Magi).  Watch the villagers transform themselves into Biblical characters!
